"Redefining Mobile" is the motto of this year's Mobile World Congress. The Congress in Barcelona is set to bring together experts in the mobile communications industry from all over the world over the course of four days (February 27 to March 1).
Cell phones have become much more than just devices to make calls. They can now be used to make payments, as portable travel guides or books, and to enable access to social networks anytime, anywhere. Mobile technology can be found in our cars, homes, and household appliances. Administrations use it, as do public utility companies. Mobility influences every aspect of our lives and makes our everyday activities easier in all kinds of ways.
In order to secure new developments such as payment by cell phone, G&D is developing applications that enable specific device features and protect users from external misuse.
The 2012 Mobile World Congress will showcase the latest developments in the mobile world and provide insights into the way this technology is likely to evolve in the coming years.
G&D will again be present with a stand in Hall 8. Visitors can learn all about the range of mobile security solutions through four demonstrations at G&D's stand B 65 and an exhibition area for cards and other form factors.
